Miller This paper will describe the plans to extend the current CESSDA Intergrated Data Catalogue (IDC) beyond a virtual catalogue to a multi-lingual virtual portal to the data interstructures of the European research area. Working on the vision and deliverables from two previous EU funded projects, LIMBER and FASTER, it is hoped to give access, in 10 European languages, to the holdings of the majority of CESSDA archives within the next 3 years. Further initiatives will then hopefully make available through this portal the holdings of other important European data providers, along with associated knowledge products, such electronic books, journals, articles and working papers.
