Garner Designing an e-journal archive: report of a planning project at Harvard University With a grant from the Mellon Foundation Harvard University Library spent a little over a year exploring issues of the creating and maintaining a sustainable e-journal archive. This presentation is based on the report of the Project Steering Committee and the Project Technical Team who looked at content; format and deposit mechanisms; access control and interface requirements; long-term preservation guidelines; costs of development, operation and maintenance; and financial and governance models for a sustainable archive.
